Just to tag on to the reports of White-throated Sparrows arriving, I spent 45
minutes at Reedy Creek late Tuesday afternoon, and found it thick with
Yellow-rumped Warblers and Ruby-crowned Kinglets (5 or 6 kinglets in one tree
near the Visitor’s Center). There were also reports from Jan Frye at Bryan Park
of both varieties of Kinglets, Winter Wren, Dark-eyed Junco, White-crowned
Sparrow and a Red-breasted Nuthatch. I’m hoping that last one means we’ll get a
good irruption this year.
