Subject: Wild Baby Shower
The Wild Baby Shower is an event to help ARK (Area Rehabbers Klub) with
necessities for wildlife in need during the upcoming "baby season". The
Wild Baby Shower will be held at Bird Watchers, 4636 Commonwealth Centre
Parkway, next to Barnes and Noble, from 2 to 4 pm on March 1st, 2003.
ARK will have wild birds on display that cannot be released back into the
wild and also Blossom the 'Possom. ARK is in need of the following items:
Bird Seed, whole corn, meal worms, nuts (unshelled), suet, raisins,
cheeries, dish detergent, bleach, liquid hand soap, ziplock baggies,
paper towels, food dishes, pet carriers, cotton balls, baby blankets,
bird dishes, and they are always grateful for gift certificates and cash
donations. Please visit ARK's web site at www.welcome.to/arkva for
updated information on ARK's education efforts and other scheduled
events.
ARK is registered at Target, Wal-Mart and a wish list is also available
at Bird Watchers. Donations may be dropped off at area merchants prior to
the shower at BirdWatchers, Midlothian, Wild Bird Center, West End,
Wildbirds Unl., Richmond or the Children's Farm at Maymont.
