No shortage of Bobolinks at Shirley Plantation today-it was almost too easy as I drove in and saw them immediately flying across the road. The puddled fields are providing a great place for sandpipers. Lots of bird song all over-the birds don't seemed bothered by the rain. Unfortunately did not see the Barred Owl Rachel Echols reported but heard Hooded warbler, Ovenbird, Swainson's Thrush and Yellow-throated Vireo's in the area the owl was seen. Also heard Eastern Wood Pewee's at home and at Shirley and Flowerdew today. Here's a list of highlights.
