Hi all,

In addition to all of the other migrants that folks have mentioned in the
Richmond area, a Louisiana Waterthrush is also singing and making
appearances at Rockwood Park. He is in his usual territory near where the
boardwalk goes out into the marsh. Unfortunately, the boardwalk is still
closed due to storm damage. Construction works were working on the
visitor center expansion, but there was no sign of work on the boardwalk.

A few other species heard and see during the brief visit to the park
included: Barred Owl calling and then exchanging flybys with a
beautiful, Red-shouldered Hawk. Wood Duck pairs also made appearances.
Sapsuckers were still around.
