Hello Birders,
Richmond Audubon holds a winter count of the birds in and around the James
River Parks system (Richmond, Va) every January. This year's count was on
Saturday, the 16th. Upwards of 40 birders dug up all sorts of good birds
in the city. We tallied 74 species birding from sunrise to 10:30am.
*Yellow Warbler, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Orange-crowned Warbler (3),
Baltimore Oriole (3) and Cackling Geese (2) *were the tops birds among
other goodies. Not too shabby for city birding. Many thanks to Julie
