Hi, all -
I was birding in the Wetlands when I heard a bird sing three sets of
paired notes - very loudly and at a lower pitch than an Indigo Bunting (it
sounded like an Indigo with a megaphone, though not as many notes). All I
ever heard were the three paired of notes (Indigo Buntings typically have
more, are higher pitched, and nowhere near as loud). I saw it fly by and
heard it several times, but never got a good look at it. I've read that
Baltimore Orioles sometimes sing paired notes. Could this have been a
Baltimore Oriole? If not, what else would sing like that? Thanks for your
