Hello Richmond Birders, NO sign of GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER this morning (4/26), but did see a BLUE-WINGED WARBLER which was rather nice. Have seen single BLUE-WINGED WARBLERs on 3 occasions this past week between 42nd street and Visitor center. Other warblers this am (7:15-8:15); BLACK-THROATED BLUE (1), BLACK AND WHITE (6), HOODED (1), OVENBIRD (1), COMMON YELLOWTHROAT (1), PROTHONOTORY (2), YELLOW-THROATED (1), YELLOW-RUMPED (150+), NORTHERN PARULA (2). Other spp. of interest - ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK (1), SCARLET TANAGER (1 MALE). Yesterday morning (4/25) I saw ORCHARD ORIOLE (2 MALES), INDIGO BUNTING (1 MALE), WOODTHRUSH (3). Also met Gerry Weinberger this morning who also had NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH toady. That makes 11 species of warbler today at James River Park; not too bad for the City of Richmond. _ Arun Bose Richmond, VA You are subscribed to VA-Richmond-General.
