this fella has been hanging around since yesterday. he's very confident and
even got into a scuffle with a mourning dove. he's definitely a first at my
feeders. perhaps something to do with this cold front? as you can see in one of
the photos he's not quite yet ready for the ladies, but with his attitude he's
most certainly going to have a successful season when he gets to where he's
going. also a first at the feeders over the past couple of days yellow-billed
cuckoo (not actually at the feeder, but in the area) and an indigo bunting...
plus a ton of l.b.j.'s. what a good week this has been! happy birding!
