  Amen to that, I agree with you completely.  It's ironic that humans are so 
very quick to "protect themselves" against the "threats presented by other 
species" when it's usually human interference with other species that generated 
the problem to begin with.  Unreal, just unreal.

    about a Canadian utility that takes down parakeet nests and kills the birds 
because the nests cause power outages and fires; the power outages in turn 
threaten the lives of people on life support. 

     

    I say they could remove the nests, but don't kill the birds. Instead, they 
should help them find a new home. We humans have created this problem, since 
the species is not native to this country.
