There is nothing like the eyes of new birders to point out things we often take for granted. Banding gives us the luxury of seeing attributes of a bird one cannot even realize with the most powerful of optics. I thought you might like to take a look at this bird tail and make a guess at what bird it is attached to. It had unusually striking markings and thought I would share it with the listserv.
