Good Point. We have a heater in ours. We empty it, clean out, and
refill the birdbath every morning. Our second birdbath is not heated, so
we push the ice away and fill it with cooler water. The Wild Birds
Unlimited heater is not as effective as the cattle heaters, but works well
except on the coldest nights. Our dream is to build one like Bob S with
moving water and a natural exterior.
