The prothonotary pair is waiting for you! They are nesting in the
same place on the swimming dock as last year--remember how they fussed
at us for staying too close? We think there are still eggs in the
nest--no babies yet. We also have a bald eagle nest very close by on a
Va Power pole in the James. We can try a short walk through a
transmission line right-of-way to view. Buz and I will try today and
let you know if the walking route is possible. And we have an
"African" connection: zebra butterflies and leopard frogs! And a
zillion baby toads. So, don't miss the annual picnic on Saturday!
