The prothonotary pair is waiting for you!  They are nesting in the same place on the swimming dock as last year--remember how they fussed at us for staying too close?  We think there are still eggs in the nest--no babies yet.  We also have a bald eagle nest very close by on a Va Power pole in the James.  We can try a short walk through a transmission line right-of-way to view.  Buz and I will try today and let you know if the walking route is possible.  And we have an "African" connection:  zebra butterflies and leopard frogs!  And a zillion baby toads.  So, don't miss the annual picnic on Saturday!  See the website or your Thrasher for details and directions.  Or call Nelda and Buz at 795-1446.
