On Sunday, 1/16/2011, the little Allen's Hummingbird was seen at 2:45pm and 2:48pm. The first time the immature female flew to the backyard feeder, drank and disappeared. At 2:48 pm, she perched on the feeder and drank until 2:50 pm. Kudos to Mike Kacmarcik for keeping the 3 feeders filled! Thanks Mike! The Bald Eagle was perched on a nest on Dominion Va. Power land west of Henricus and south of the entrance road. The Osprey was perched above the marsh at Henricus and an American Kestrel along the road. Also seen were Ring-necked Ducks, Mallards, American Widgeon, Northern Shovelers, and Canada Geese. Sue Ridd Glen Allen, VA.
