Great day on the river today as we started surveying Prothonotary nest
boxes.

At last the clouds broke, beautiful pieces of blue peeked through and then
Mr. Sun made it's debut after 4 days of rain and gloom.

Lots of Prothonotary song up and down the old river channel. Some small
offerings of moss found in boxes in hopes of enticing a northbound female.
Carolina Chickadees have hatched out in about 6 of the boxes we checked.

Here's a few of the highlights of the day. As I left our house for DGAP
this morning a "sneaker squeak" of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak definitely got
my attention!!

*Blue-grey Gnatcatcher*

*Blue-winged Warbler*

*Yellow Warbler*

*Northern Parula*

*Prothonotary Warbler*

*Ovenbird*

*Grey Catbird*

*Rusty Blackbird*

*White-eyed Vireo*

*Green Heron (4)*

*Greater Yellow legs (3)*

*Osprey galore*

*Bald Eagle young in nest*

*Spotted Sandpiper*
