The Laurel Hill Equestrian Center has been a premier spot for sparrows in NoVa
this Fall. A new addition today was Orange-crowned Warbler.
The Clay-colored Sparrow has been here about 2 weeks now. This park continues
to be the go-to spot for White-crowned Sparrows (my season high of at least 26
today). Along the entrance road before the last turn towards the parking lot
held a large mixed flock of Field, Chipping, Savannah, Song, White-throated,
and White-crowned Sparrows and an Eastern Towhee.
