A couple of nice days at the platform produced a couple of good birds.
Yesterday, the 8th, a wandering Sandhill crane came over twice in the morning.
Later, we spotted the season's first Golden eagle, a juvenile, heading south.
Today, likely the same bird reappeared for better looks.
Accipiters moved in nice numbers, and falcons are slowing somewhat. The first
adult RSHA came on the 8th, and a nice kettle of BWHA (nearly 30) did laps of
the peninsula all day yesterday and today.
