Gorgeous day on the platform. Light NE wind predominated today and the birds
actually came out to migrate. Highlights of the day were the juvenile Golden
eagle that drifted over both the trapping blind and the platform at ~75' high
and a Short-eared owl that made its way south over the bayshore just after 10
am. Sharp-shinned numbers were over 100 for the first time in a long while. A
nice assortment of Bald eagles came over as well.
