Starting around July 15 or so, bank begun amassing in large numbers
(200-500) on the powerlines around the Refuge office headquarters on the
Wilna tract of the Rappahannock NWR. Mixed in are smaller numbers of barn
swallows, which also breed in nearby farm buildings & stable.  This
happened same time last year too.  They're still here, but suddenly one
night, they'll be gone.  Does anyone know where bank swallows roost?

Following on Augusta County's report of their same-time next year sedge
wren, our sedge wren also came back on about the same date (August 10) and
is singing from the same spot in the same field.
