All: Last night I had the joy of watching about a dozen yellow-rumped
warblers grazing on my maple tree in our front yard. What a wonderful sight
to come home to.
Every year about this time in the trees cycle we get these little guys
hoping all over the tree. Anyone have any idea what they are after? They
seem to go for the spot right under the new leaves where it connects to the
branch, not the seed pods themselves. They come for a few days and then
they are gone - as if there is something special about the tree just this
time of year.
In any case...it is great to see my feathered friends again.
