It's been a busy bird week here behind my little Reston townhouse. Besides
relatively high number of the common feeder birds, I've added four new
species to the yard list: a HOODED WARBLER that appeared Saturday and stayed
through Sunday, a BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER on Sunday, a pair of BARRED OWLs
that were chased into my yard by a couple crows this morning, and a CHIPPING
SPARROW swinging by this evening.
I'm usually lucky if I get one or two new birds a month (even during
migrations), so this week has been a boon for me.
