Hi All
Mary and I had 3 White Pelicans fly by about 2 PM! Going in the direction of
M. & M. Bridge. about middle way of Bridge. I was watching a Eared Grebe when
they flew by. WE had never seen over one at a time in Virginia before. I would
guess the eared Grebe was the same one Elisa Enders saw on Friday. WE all so
had a pr. of eared Grebes in the south east corner. for a total of 3. which is
also a personal high.
Other birds included Red-breasted Mergansers, Ruddy Ducks, Canvasbacks,
Bufflehead, Black Ducks, Red-throated Loons, Common Loon, Lots of Horned
Grebes, Osprey, Horned Lark, Meadowlark, Sanderling, Black Bellied Plover,
Brown Pelican, and Dunlin. We were unable to find any Snow Buntings.
WE had a pr. of Red-necked Grebes on Friday at Grand View Beach. That is 3
different Grebes in 3 day, I guess 3 might might have been My Lucky # for the
weekend
