Greetings,
Steve Rottenborn posted yesterday about his adult Thayer's Gull sighting down
at Cape Hatteras (Cape Point), NC on 2/23 and the first winter Thayer's Gull
at the Prince William Landfill on 2/25.
On Thurs. 2/20, I was at the PW Landfill and saw what I believed to be a
first winter Thayer's Gull. I didn't post it, thinking no one would believe
it. You know how that goes! Was it the same bird Steve saw on 2/25?
On Mon. 2/24, while I was scoping the gulls at Cape Point, I saw an adult
Thayer's Gull. Surely this must be the same bird Steve saw on 2/23.
Amazing set of coincidences!
