Risking pneumonia and certain death, I bundled up and ventured out during the
warmest part of the day (so far) and found my way to Pohick Bay. Met my old
friend Phil Silas and my new friend, Candace Lowther.
Found 3 WW SCOTERS and 1 (F) OLDSQUAW in the channel out from the main boat
launch. Oldsquaw was harder to find. Actively feeding and not staying up for
long.
Candace gave up on the Goldeneye, but Phil and I finally found one female among
the amazing assortment of waterfowl (count 'em if you can) up from the kayak
launch.
