VA-Birders,
I just heard a report of a fellow birder having his car broken into recently
when he parked in the parking lot while looking for the Ash-throated Flycatcher
in Richmond. Valuable items and personal information were stolen. Please be
careful when attempting to find the bird. I was there last weekend and can
verify that it is hardly an area with manicured lawns and white picket fences.
It's the type of area you would expect in a rail yard under a bridge.
Perhaps the folks in Richmond can suggest another place to park or another
alternative?
