On an "island" between the east and west lanes of Preston Avenue in
Charlottesville this morning, amidst a flock of robins was one robin with a
bright white "collar." I did a U-turn and then another as I passed by this
bird two more times, the second time trying to get a picture with my "dumb"
phone. I had good looks at him, but not in the photographic sense as he flew
up to a tree and the other members of the flock scattered. The collar was
quite stark in appearance especially as it contrasted to the bird's fairly
bright plumage. I assume that this bird was also touched by some form of
albinism.

robin in our backyard in Abingdon, Virginia this afternoon. It was mixed in
a flock of robins that were stripping a hawthorn tree in our backyard. Just
