Hey Andrew,
That's the earliest record of a Sandwich Tern ever to occur in Virginia
according to eBird (and maybe the earliest ever observed period?).
The Gold Book had an extreme early arrival date of 21 April listed, though
records that post-dated its publication exist for earlier dates (16 Apr
2012, 17 Apr 2013, 15 Apr 2015). But, yours is even earlier than all of
those.
