Hello Everyone,
If anyone is free this coming Sunday and would like to participate in the
Fifth Annual The Plains/Airlie Christmas Bird Count, please let me know. The
count covers mostly Fauquier County and some of Prince William. Habitats are
diverse, and as a result the last three counts have found at least 100
species, including Eurasian Wigeon, Saw-whet Owl, Snow Bunting, Loggerhead
Shrike, Greater White-fronted Goose, and the third highest totals of
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Eastern Bluebird in the nation. We also boast
the best compilation dinner to be had at any CBC. Perhaps I'm biased, but
it's a grand chili supper (with vegetarian chili for those who don't partake
in the regular stuff), and it's held at Airlie aside a roaring fire.
You know where to find me if you're interested...
Cheers,
Todd
