3 hungry Barn Swallows nestlings were still present on
the back porch of the Mt. Bleak house this afternoon.
The parents were around and made quick visits to feed
them. Birds of North America online indicates about
20 days from hatching to fledging.
Birding was slow as is typical in August in the park.
I didn't check the Shrike area. The butterflying was
excellent.
I probably won't be back to Sky Meadows until Sept.
