Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Even though it was HOT (95F) yesterday, September 3, 2033
I was delight to have a Rose-breasted Grosbeak on my bird feeder in Great
Falls, VA.
It was an immature (HY) male and he made several visits to the feeder to eat
sunflower seeds
I managed to get a few pictures.
I always wonder how a young bird, who is probably no more than 3 months old,
and who has probably never seen a bird feeder or sunflower seeds knows what to
do.
How does he know that sunflower seeds are good, really good!
