I was calling at Cave Mountain Lake this weekend and heard a definite Word
Thrush, so it is quite possible you heard one as well.

I managed to get out for a few hours this morning to look for migrants along
the Parkway. This lighting was not optimal but I was able to get a few
photos. I hit my usual spots along the BRP between mile posts 45 and 38.Â
Ovenbirds and Black-throated Green Warblers were common and singing. I heard
and saw a few Pine and B&W Warblers, Blue-headed Vireos, and the other usual
Parkway birds. I did turn up a pair of Worm-eating Warblers and a single
Blackburnian (at the Boston Knob overlook). There were a few Redstarts and I
thought I heard a Hooded Warbler and a Wood Thrush - but I can't confirm those.
