Seven participants enjoyed the birds and wildflowers at Amelia WMA on
Father's Day. Bird highlights included an adult DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT on
Amelia
Lake, many highly visible singing male INDIGO BUNTINGS, a male RED-WINGED
BLACKBIRD displaying at the edge of the lake while his presumed mate was busy
fetching nesting material, nice looks at singing PRAIRIE WARBLERS and several
calling YELLOW-BREASTED CHATS.
Thanks to Lewis Barnett for organizing the car pool and for submitting the
results to eBird.
