This morning John and I were late to work because we paused to view a
red-breasted nuthatch in the tree above our car, which was parked in
front of our home in the west end of Alexandria. Perhaps this was the
same bird Renee saw earlier this week. I hope it got some of the
sunflower seeds we set out before the mourning doves took them all.
