To answer Rick's question:
Records cited by Roger Clapp's "Egg Dates for Virginia Birds" show Raven
eggs as early as 26 February (1986 record - Nelson County) and as late as 24
Apr on Beartown Mountain. Most other egg records were in March.

When do Ravens nest in Virginia? I seem to recall reading in one of Bernd
Heinrich's books that they nest in the winter in Maine.
