I spent a short while at Algonkian Park this morning (4/6). There were at least
7 Red-necked Grebes on the Potomac. At least 4 had red necks and light cheeks,
while one was still gray around the face and neck.
Other birds included a yodeling Common Loon, 2 Caspian Terns, a pair of
Red-breasted Mergansers, and a Sharp-shinned Hawk.
