I will be in Blacksburg, Virginia, Dec. 21-26. (Actually present there
22-25, traveling the other two days.)
If there are any 'good' birds, or good birding areas very close to that
area, I would like to know about them.
I will be with sister's family, will not have my own car. Family enjoys
walking outdoors, but are not birders and have small children. They would
indulge me if the bird search consisted of a reasonably short drive (25
minutes or less) and a reasonably short hike (half a mile or less).
Don't know if anything fits this bill, but if it does, I'd hate to go all
the way to VA and back and miss it.
