I saw a female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER today while walking around the marshes
of Lynnhaven Inlet. The bird did not seem to mide my presence in the least;
I stood in clear view and watched as she came out of the water, stretched
her legs on a little beach, and then sat down and started to fall asleep!
