Today has been the same as the past two days: our mountaintop has been socked
in a soaking wet cloud. The birds were very active today so it took some of the
curse off the weather. There were 9 Pine Siskins at the feeders all day. I
donned the raingear and took a walk around the ponds finding: 6 Wood Ducks, a
Blue-headed Vireo, 5 Golden-crowned Kinglets and 14 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a
couple dozen Yellow-rumped Warblers, 9 Towhees, 3 Chipping Sparrows, 5 Field, 7
Song and 30 White-throated Sparrows as well as a dozen or so Juncos.
