This morning when we were driving on the Roosevelt Bridge into Virginia, we saw
a large Peregrine Falcon perched on a light fixture with its back toward DC.
The bird was totally in DC but closer to the Virginia shoreline than to the DC
shoreline. I believe there have been other recent reports of Peregrines on or
near the bridge, perhaps in Arlington?
An all too brief stop before 10 am at Potomac Overlook Regional Park in
Arlington did not turn up the Kentucky Warbler reported last weekend. C'est la
vie.
