Today at 11:12 AM I saw the Peregrine falcon, who has been staying in the
field across the street, swoop down and take a squirrel. He had a bit of
trouble gaining elevation with all that weight in his mouth but
successfully made it to a tall tree. My little dog and I were not 50 feet
away from the squirrel but, evidently, our presence did not discourage the
falcon from its quest. Quite something to see!
