Checked Colonial Beach and Potomac Beach (2 miles up the Road) for
Ospreys and was not disappointed. Found at least 28 (really!)Ospreys
with six man-made nest platforms occupied by females and two other
nests in trees. Also observed and photographed a pair doing their
mating ritual with the male on the female's back. You can get very
close to these guys and they don't seem to mind the people at all.
Also of Note 3 Forester's Terns that weren't there two weeks ago.
