Larry Meade and I spent a couple of hours this morning at Occoquan Bay NWR,
in Prince William County, VA. The wind was strong at times and cold, but the
sun was warm. Most of our time was spent in the western half of the refuge,
along Marumsco Creek. Total number of species was 39. We flushed one
Woodcock and saw at least ten Flickers. Are they migrating north now?
Good birding.
