VA BIRDers,
Beautiful blue skies and warming temperatures met a small group for the NVBC
E-trip to Sky Meadows this morning. A good range of species was observed
but sparrow numbers had dropped off considerably from the last visit.
Highlight was the Loggerhead Shrike - reported by S. Baron yesterday - in
about the same spot (the wire fence a 100yds to the north of the fishing
pond, near the Willow Trees) and 3 Lincoln's Sparrows. The fine aspect of
the day was that representatives of all species were observed by all
participants. The bird list follows.
