Last night at our annual luau up near the top of Poor Mountain in southwest
Roanoke County, we had a large flock of nighthawks fly over. Hardly anyone
thought to count, but I did hear one person say she lost track after 50.
For some reason they were headed north. Someone speculated that they were
headed for the Salem Avalanche game for a meal.
