From 7:25-8:00 I birded my yard. Not a lot in volume but some really
nice Warblers:
2 Black-throated Blues
1 Common Yellowthroat
1 Magnolia Warbler
All three are new yard birds for me, bringing the total up to 63.
The Common Yellowthroat was hanging around my "swamp", which is really
just a big hole full of water left in the wake of a big tree that fell
during Hurricane Isabel.
Also had a White-throated Sparrow that is still hanging around.
Also of possible interest were the three Catbirds that were all
hanging out together. It looked as if there was a bit of competition
going on between two males over one female. I expect to only see 2 of
them together soon.
