In spite of the fog (we almost didn't even go out), on the same property as
earlier, we found:
N.HARRIER - 4 (female or imm.)
SHORT-EARED OWL - 6
That's a new personal record for both of us. I've seen 5 in one spot before,
but tonight was the best ever!
Most amazing was the interaction between a VERY LATE, soaring Harrier when one
of the owls found her. The owl attacked and harrassed it as it cruised over the
field. It was like, "Get to bed you crazy fool - what are you doing up so
late?! This is MY time to own this place!"
All-in-all, a very fun time, and another awesome adventure in the wild!
