The past month or so has been relatively slow at Mariner's Museum Park-with
the exception of the Anhinga. Today, I enjoyed stumbling upon a group of
foraging warblers: two YELLOW WARBLERS, five AMERICAN REDSTARTS, and three
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS. I feel that these are migrants, as I walk that
stretch of the Noland Trail almost daily and have not seen these species
since spring. Another exciting migrant was a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, whom I
got an excellent view of as he foraged along a muddy lakeshore. The other
highlight was the female ANHINGA, who I finally found after a failed attempt
yesterday. The rest of my sightings are below, thanks!
