I birded Metz Wetlands (Prince William Co.) and the boardwalk at Huntley
Meadows (Fairfax Co.) on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. Best bird of the day was an
immature Red-headed Woodpecker at Huntley. Also at Huntley were two Greater
Yellowlegs, an Am. Black Duck, and six Hooded Mergansers. Metz had a decent
variety of species (list below), including Bald Eagle, Coopers Hawk, Fox
Sparrow, and loads of Am. Goldfinches.
