Greetings,
Sparrow numbers were outstanding this morning at the Defunct Shopping Center
along Groveton Rd. Though I didn't see any rarities or many "unusual" ( 2
White-crowned and 1 Grasshopper), the sheer numbers of all the species meant
I couldn't possibly view them all. I only covered about half the area because
it was so time consuming sorting through the sparrows.

I ran into Glenn Koppel midday. You just never know who you're going to meet
off the beaten path.
Other highlights: Sharpie (2), Cooper's Hawk, RT Hawk (2), RS Hawk (2), Bald
Eagle (landed somewhere along Young's Branch), E. Phoebe (14), Common Raven
(I've never seen one over here before), RC Kinglet (22), E. Bluebird (11),
Gray Catbird (2), Brown Thrasher, Palm Warbler (10- I think Glen told me he
had three dozen!), Common Yellowthroat, Am. Goldfinch (80).
