While visiting my mother in Hampton (Chesapeake Ave.) we set up my scope (new
toy!) to scan the harbor. There was a mixed flock of Brown Pelicans,
Red-breasted Mergansers, Ring-billed Gulls and Common Loons feeding about
200-300 yards off shore. There were about 30 Loons. I've never seen that large
a flock feeding together.
