Can someone give directions to Leonards Pond?

I went over to Leonard's Pond about noon today (Sunday) and stayed for 45
minutes. Several other birders were present. Despite a light mist in the
air
and rather dim light, we could see what was there pretty well. The Baird's
sandpiper was still in its usual area in or near the west corner of the pond
by
the road. The Golden-Plover was not anywhere to be seen. While I was there
a
Dowitcher (sp.) flew around the far end of the pond and settled down for a
few
minutes; shortly afterwards we could not find it again. I also noted a
couple
of Least Sandpipers and a Greater Yellowlegs. Clair Mellinger's posting
indicates he was there after I left and saw the Golden-Plover, in its usual
spot.
I made a mistake describing that bird's regular location in a recent
posting.
There are two points of land jutting into the pond on the pond's east side
(your right side viewed from the road). The larger point is the one nearer
the
road, and it is near that point the Golden-Plover has been hanging out when
it is visible.
The light rain has ceased near my house and I am going back to the pond now.
I will post again this evening. As one of our visitors emailed me,
"Leonard's Pond is the state's hot spot right now."
